What a hackathon actually is

It isn't what the word makes you think.

It isn't coding, it isn't overnight, and it isn't a competition. It's a session with a fixed end time where you describe a problem you actually have, and by the time it finishes there's a working tool that solves it, live on the internet, that you can use the next day.

Nobody writes any code. Most people who come have never built anything before.

Three ways in

Start free. Build when you're ready.

The free session is you watching. The paid ones are you building.

You build. Twelve people maximum so there's time to help everyone properly, and Matt is there when it goes wrong. Bring a laptop, that's the only requirement. Runs monthly.

The next sessions

Get on the list for the next one.

The dates for the next free sessions and hackathons are being finalised. Leave your name and email and we'll tell you the moment the next free session opens, plus the next paid hackathons online and in Leicester.

In-person sessions run with six or more people, and everyone gets a full refund if a date doesn't reach that. Lunch isn't included, so eat beforehand. Coffee and water are provided.

It has already happened

20+ founders in the room100% left with a working toolNone of them technical

Those were individual founders solving their own business problems, not a corporate team.

"I don't think any of them had any idea they would actually take away a product they could use in their business."
