The things people ask us.
Do our people need any technical background?
No. The sessions are designed for mixed rooms, and consistently the non-technical people build the most useful things, they're solving problems they actually have.
What do people need to bring?
A laptop each and a problem they'd like solved. That's it.
What do you need from the venue?
A room where everyone can see a screen, power at the tables, and wifi. We bring our own 5G backup because venue wifi is venue wifi.
Who owns what gets built?
Whoever built it. It's theirs, on their own account, and they keep it after we've gone.
What if some of our team don't want to be there?
Common, and fine. Sceptics tend to produce the best work by mid-afternoon. We don't require enthusiasm at the start, only a laptop.
How many people can attend?
Up to 30. Above that we'd recommend splitting into two sessions, which we can run on the same day.
Where do you deliver?
Anywhere in the UK. Travel and any accommodation is charged at cost on top of the session fee.
Can you run it online?
Yes, for the Reality Check and Foundations. Hackathons work far better in a room, we'll say so if you ask.
What does it cost?
Reality Check from £595. Foundations from £1,250 half day, £2,000 full day. Hackathon from £2,000. Development from £150/hour. All plus VAT and expenses.
What tools do you use?
Mainly Lovable for the builds, alongside the major AI assistants. We're tool-neutral in the teaching, the point is the approach, not the software, and whatever we use will have changed within a year.
What happens after the day?
Every attendee gets the resource pack and keeps their build. When a prototype turns out to be a genuine business need, we build it properly.
